Thank you for the trees you sent. I am still in Iraq and have not gotten to see them, but I had them shipped to my mom's house. She said they were all beautiful, healthy looking trees, and the way they were packed for shipping was perfect. All of the trees were undamaged and in great shape. It will be over a month until I'll be able to come home and plant them. But until then, they are in good hands. Thank you again for the quality of your product, and thought you might like a little feed back on its handling during shipping. I will buy more of your product when I return from this tour in the fall, so please keep me informed of any deals on your fruit, nut or palm trees. Thuja Green Giants from Fast Growing Trees Nursery

We are using these plants to become a living fence. We were a little disappointed that they didn't grow as fast the first year as indicated in the ad but now they are starting to take off. We did lose one plant within the first year but the remainder are doing great. All of the plants came well packaged and the instructions were helpful. Most are now starting to fill out and have grown to about five feet from the ground up. Overall, we are pleased and would recommend them.

We bought 14 of the Thuja Green Giants to screen our pool. All but 2 put on at least a foot of growth. Those 2 grew some, just not as much. The neighbors were astounded! We can't wait for this summer when the real screen begins to develop around the pool.

Thuja Green Giants as a Privacy Wall

We are using the Thuja as a screen as we wanted a fence but did not want just a plain wall. The Thuja is beautiful in the spring, summer, and fall with it's greenery and in the winter (4500 ft) still a nice looking plant. Although the Thuja has not grown the 6 ft. per year, I would still recommend this plant to those who are interested in a different kind of fencing.

When I received my 5 trees I didn't have the spot prepared for planting. I had to "heel them in" which I did inside their transport bags by adding peat and keeping them watered for 4 weeks. Once planted (in April) they did great once they were given time to root. Their growth hasn't been much since the summers in Mich. are short and the spot they're planted in is semi-sun. Winter hasn't hurt them, but I'm eager to see how much they grow this coming summer. I'm happy with them so far and feel I should give them more growing time before considering any downside to them.

Thujas Doing Well in Zone 5 Despite Poor Soil

Bought 45 Thuja Giants as a privacy border nearly 2 years ago. Each plant has thrived and grown nearly 2ft in that time despite my Zone 5 location and very poor soil conditions and with little care. I also tried planting white pine and hybrid willows in the same location. All died. Although I am a bit disappointed at the rate of growth (advertised at 4ft per year), these specimens will thrive and outlast me and my ownership of this property. Hope the next owner appreciates them as much as I.

Fast Growing Trees Nursery Reviews- Thuja Green Giant

I bought these for privacy between my house and the neighbors. I got the 4-6ft trees. They arrived quickly, healthy and ready to plant. I planted 8 of them in June 2009, and they are all still healthy looking. They have only grown 2-3 inches so far, but I chalk that up to them getting established. They have however, filled out since I first planted them. I am very pleased and will most likely order more this spring for the other side of my yard.

I purchased 9 thuja green giants from Fast Growing Trees Nursery and planted them along a fence in my backyard a little less than a year ago. I ordered 1-2 foot trees and all the trees were at least 1 foot tall. Several were actually a bit taller than 2 feet. They were packed very well and arrived in great condition. They didn't do much the first growing season. They are probably 6 inches taller (a few are up to 12 inches taller) than when they arrived. All 9 are healthy, although they are slightly tinged with brown this winter. I am hoping they take off this year and really start growing.

I'm an experienced gardener in Livonia, NY. I used my thujas as a hedge row on the western shore of a lake, a high wind area. My trees are growing beyond my expectations, I hope they continue to flourish, and fill in at the top.

We used the Thuja Giant to create a natural barriers in the back of our property. The trees are growing about 2-4 foot per year, and they were able to take in the sandy soil that is usually wet as we live on the Chesapeake Bay.

My Empress Tree & Thujas are doing Great

Royal Empress: (two) I purchased 2 of them. One did Great and one died immediately. You replaced the one that died and I planted the new one and it also died immediately. I never contacted you about that one. The one that grew is really really nice. It grew 4 feet the first year and 15 the second year (last year) after cutting it to the ground. It even grew branches which i read should not really happen until the third year. I will cut it again this year and have fun watching it grow. The kids love to watch it grow.

Thuja Green Giant: (can't remember how many - maybe 25) These are doing mostly well. I planted them 5' apart in one long row. Most are doing well. I lost 4 of them last winter and one looks rough right now, brown on the top 2 feet. The ones that get the most sun have grown to 6 feet. The ones the are shaded by the house half the day are still only about 2 feet. HUGE growth difference between sun and shade. I would love some advise on either of these types of trees if you have it. Thank you.

Despite the Snow and Freezing Rain

Wonderful! They're growing well, but the freezing rain and snow have been rough. I extended my backyard border and the thujas were easy to plant. I watered and fed them regularly and got the two of them growing quite well.

Politely Saying Good-Bye to my Neighbors

I used your thuja giants to screen out my neighbor's beer-can-filled yard. So far they have grown about 16 inches... they started out slow but got greener as the year went on. I planted them in mostly clay and mixed in pete moss and fertilizer... hopefully in the spring they will get back to groing so I dont have to look at their yard. Yikes!

I have planted the trees in the beginning in the summer 2009, they are still going strong in Jan. 2010. I am very pleased with the quality of the trees and how they were able to withstand the cold winter temperatures. I would definitely purchase more trees from Fast Growing Trees Nursery. I am already planning for more trees to plant in the backyard. The Thuja Giants will serve to provide a great privacy screen. Thanks!

New Thujas

Using Thuja Giants for privacy on lot line. They're easy to grow and pretty fast. They don't seem to have any problems with spider mites like other evergreen species with similar structure. Very happy with fast growing trees.

Thuja Giants are Perfect as a Wind Break

Thuja Green Giant evergreens are perfect for a FAST Wind-Break. I planted my thuja evergreens for a wind-break four summers ago and all of the grew and the shortest one is now a minimum heigth of 8 feet. My only problem was bag-worms in the summer months. I am glad to have them and would get them again!

My Thujas Grow Really Fast!

When we moved to our new house 3 years ago. I planted 20 thuja giants from Fast Growing Trees Nursery, lining the back fence of the back yard. I bought the 3-4 ft. trees. One died. One or two have not been growing as fast as the others. But all the others are about 7-8 feet tall. One thing I did wrong was to plant them too close to eachother and the fence but they still thrive.

I planted a 1-2 foot tree in June (maybe July). It grew a foot by the end of fall! I can't wait to see how much it grows Spring through Fall of 2010. We did get 2 feet of snow in December and it doesn't look like it damaged the tree, but I will know for sure in the Spring. I am planning on ordering at least 7 more trees for planting in the Spring. Very pleased so far~

The trees were planted to get privicy . The growth has not been as fast as I expected, but the trees are healthy and I only lost one, of the seven I purchased. The trees are getting thicker and I hope I will have a faster grow this Spring. The trees are almost 7 feet tall.

My Thujas are Doing Great!

I panted several thujas as a privacy hedge a couple of years ago. It took some time but they are now taking off! They grew about 3 feet in the last 6 months! They are very pretty & smell wonderful, and aren't prickly like some evergreens. Very nice in the yard where my kids play.
